Running for Office 101: A Friendly Introduction to Getting in the Race

-An event for women in the Chippewa Valley-
Wednesday, May 3rd from 6:00- 8:00 PM
Unitarian Universalist Congregation
421 S. Farwell St, Eau Claire (map)

Ever thought of throwing your hat in the ring for a local school board election? Or wanted to run for State Assembly but had no clue where to start? Maybe your best friend is a killer public speaker and you want to help her run for office?

We've got an awesome lineup of smart Wisconsin women who have experience in all different areas of politics:

  • Erin Forrest, Executive Director of Emerge WI
  • Becca Cooke, former campaign finance director
  • Amelia Neas, Candidate Services Manager for Wisconsin Progress
  • Kate Beaton, Eau Claire City Council Member
  • Catherine Emmanuelle, Eau Claire City Council Member

This exciting opportunity is open to any and all progressive women in the community who are curious about what goes into running (and winning!) a political campaign. Even if you aren't ready to run for office just yet, it's a great opportunity to learn more about the political process and meet some new progressive faces. Please bring your friends!

Please RSVP to siedow@uwalumni.com if you plan to attend.
